The meal offered to Ambassador Calkoen by the grand visor on behalf of Sultan Ahmed III, 14 September 1727. The Dutch and some of the Turkish ministers share tables in the council hall. Part of a series of paintings with Turkish subjects brought from Turkey to the Netherlands by the ambassador Cornelis Calkoen and by his cousin Nicolaas in 1817 at the Executive Board of the Levantsche Handel in Amsterdam.
