Lalu Prasad Shaw is a painter and printmaker. He completed his education in fine arts at the Government College of Art and Craft in Kolkata. His works were greatly influenced by the pre-independence Company School of art, the traditional Kalighat and the Ajanta cave paintings, Rajasthani and Mughal miniatures, and mural paintings.
