A Victorian crazy patch quilt using various silk and velvet fabric pieces , dated 1883 and 1884. The squares are joined by various cotton embroidery stitches, each corner with striped silk on radial “fan” pattern, mounted on flour sacks. Thirty squares, approximately 10” each. Many embroidery stitches and motifs; many children embroidered on. Silk and velvet pieces mounted on flour sacks with trademarks from Salinas, Stockton, and Oakland.
