This is a photograph of the writer Maria Kuncewiczowa on the terrace of her house in Kazimierz Dolny. She came here for the first time after the end of WWII in 1958. She only visited her old house at the earnest request of her acquaintance, the painter Antoni Michalak. At the time, the house was under the management of the organisers of summer camps for children from the Security Office.
