Circa l'artista: Michael D. Fay (CWO2, USMCR) (1953 – presente) Michael Fay ha conseguito il Bachelor of Science in educazione artistica presso la Pennsylvania State University e il suo Master of Fine Arts in Illustration presso l'Università di Hartford. Fay si arruolò nel Corpo dei Marines nel 1975, partì per frequentare l'università e si arruolò dopo aver completato la sua laurea. Ha partecipato alle Operazioni Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Eastern Exit e Promise. Si arruolò nella Marine Corps Reserve nel 2001 e si mobilitò come artista di combattimento nel 2002. Ha schierato due volte sia in Afghanistan che in Iraq. Fay si ritirò nel 2010 e attualmente vive in Pennsylvania. È il fondatore e direttore del Joe Bonham Project.
