Anche se solo due delle sue opere sono note per sopravvivere oggi, Haverman è stata celebrata in giovane età per i suoi doni come pittore di fiori. Ha studiato con il pittore di fiori notoriamente secretivo Jan van Huysum e successivamente ha ottenuto l'ammissione alla Royal Academy francese a Parigi. L'abilità dell'artista è in mostra in questa magnifica disposizione di fiori e frutta, in cui ha usato pigmenti innovativi come il blu prussiano. Nel corso del tempo, il pigmento del lago giallo organico è sbiadito, con conseguente aspetto blu presente delle foglie. La firma sicura di Haverman appare come se incisa nel plinto che supporta il bouquet.
