Questa veduta di Londra mostra Westminster dalla spiaggia di Lambeth. Da sinistra a destra si vede l'Abbazia di Westminster, con una delle torri disegnate da Nicholas Hawksmoor sotto le impalcature, Westminster Hall, e la Torre di St Margaret's Church che sta volando il Royal Standard. Più a destra la Sala di Banqueting è chiaramente visibile, così come il ponte di Westminster appena completato, e in primo piano la chiatta delle file Ironmongers Company a valle accompagnato da una serie di barche di canottaggio più piccole. L'occasione qui descritta è la prova per la Processione del Signore Sindaco, una cerimonia annuale tenutasi a novembre in cui il neoeletto sindaco è stato cantato a valle per essere giurato davanti ai Baroni dello Scacchiere a Westminster Hall. Il dipinto è firmato e datato inferiore a sinistra su driftwood: S Scott 1746.
