Жан-Антуан-Доминик Ингр, французский художник, родился в Монтаубане в 1780 году и отправился в Париж, чтобы учиться в студии Дэвида. Он выиграл приз Рима в 1802 году. Вернувшись в Париж в 1820 году, он был назначен профессором в Académie и в 1834 году стал директором Французской академии в Риме. Он установил завидную репутацию и стал членом Почетного легиона и сенатором в 1862 году. Он умер в Париже в 1867 году.
