Albert Elbaz was a Franco-Israeli-American fashion designer, born on June 12, 1961, in Casablanca, Morocco. He passed away on April 24, 2021, in Paris, France. Elbaz was the creative director of Lanvin from 2001 until 2015, after working for other fashion houses such as Geoffrey Beene, Guy Laroche, and Yves Saint Laurent. He founded the Richemont-backed label AZ Factory in 2019. Known for his elegant and feminine designs, Elbaz was recognized as one of the most influential fashion designers of his time.
