Yvan Ducharme, also known as du Charme Studio, was a Canadian artist born in Rouyn-Noranda, Canada in 1937. He was a comedian, animateur, humorist, poet, writer, and painter. Ducharme became known to the public through his famous INSOLENCES D’UN TÉLÉPHONE, which he created in 1963. He also played the role of the father in the popular television series Les Bergers and was a recipient of several awards of excellence, including the title of Monsieur TÉLÉVISION in 1972. In 1990, Ducharme dedicated himself to writing and painting full-time in his Montreal studio. He described his style as 'impulsionnisme', a term he invented to represent the impulsive and abstract nature of his work. Ducharme passed away in 2013 at the age of 75 due to an infection of the lungs.
