سيرة ذاتية:
, a French painter, printmaker, draughtsman, caricaturist, and illustrator, was born on November 24, 1864, in Albi, France. His life was marked by an aristocratic upbringing and a series of health issues that would shape his unique perspective on the world. At the age of eight, Toulouse-Lautrec lived with his mother in Paris, where he began to draw sketches and caricatures in his exercise workbooks under the informal guidance of René Princeteau, a friend of his father. This early start would eventually lead him to become one of the most celebrated artists of the Post-Impressionist movement.
Toulouse-Lautrec's health issues, which included fractures in both femurs at a young age, led to his legs ceasing to grow, resulting in an adult torso with child-sized legs. This condition, possibly due to pycnodysostosis (sometimes known as Toulouse-Lautrec Syndrome), significantly influenced his perspective and the subjects he chose to depict.
In 1882, Toulouse-Lautrec returned to Paris to study under Léon Bonnat, a portrait painter. His mother's ambitions for him to become a fashionable and respected painter led him to the heart of Montmartre, an area known for its bohemian lifestyle and artistic community.
Toulouse-Lautrec's unique blend of elegance, provocation, and insight into the human condition has made him one of the most beloved Post-Impressionist artists. His influence can be seen in various aspects of art, from his contemporaries to modern artists.
