Chang Wenti (1886-1961) was a Chinese master jade carver and collector. He was born in Suzhou, China in 1886 and died in Los Angeles, California in 1961. Chang Wenti is known for his work on the Altar of the Green Jade Pagoda, a five-foot-tall Burmese jadeite pagoda and terrace that took 10 years to complete with the help of 150 skilled craftsmen. He was also an actor, appearing in several TV shows and films during his career.
