Latifa Echakhch is a Moroccan-French visual artist. She was born in El Khnansa, Morocco in 1974 and currently lives and works in Switzerland. Echakhch creates installations that explore socio-political and cultural themes. She has participated in the Venice Biennale and won the Marcel Duchamp Prize in 2013. Her work is multireferential and multidirectional, reflecting her personal and cultural background.
