You Yin was a Chinese artist known for his paintings. He was born in Wuxian, now Suzhou, China in 1732 and passed away in 1812. He was a pupil of the Ming period and his life story has become a part of popular lore. His work 'The Studio of Prolonged Soughing' was created in 1851 and is in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
