Ali Thomson is a Scottish singer-songwriter, born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1959. He is the younger brother of Dougie Thomson, the bassist of the Alan Bown Set and Supertramp. Ali Thomson began singing and playing piano in local bands and moved to London in the 1970s where he worked for Mountain Records as an office helper. He signed with A&M Records and released his first album 'Take A Little Rhythm' in 1980. Ali Thomson is a Grammy and Emmy nominated, multi award winning songwriter, music producer and recording artist. He is also known for his work as a music producer and songwriter for other artists, as well as his collaborations with various musicians and bands. Ali Thomson continues to write, record and produce music, and performs live.
