Esra Bosch, also known as Esra Dalfidan, is a Turkish-German jazz singer born in Solingen, Germany in 1975. She started her career as a music therapist before attending Amsterdam Conservatory in 2006. She is known for her band FIDAN, which combines jazz with folk music from Turkey and Azerbaijan. She sings lyrics in English, German, and Turkish. Her main influences and source of inspiration are the Azeri singer and pianist Aziza Mustafa Zadeh and the Portuguese singer Maria João. She has performed with the Tineke Postma Group and Gandhi Bazaar led by Ned McGowan. She has won several awards including Jugend Musiziert in 1991, the 7th Dutch Vocalists Concours in 2007, and was a finalist for the Deloitte Jazz Award in 2008. She has released two albums, 'Colors' in 2008 and 'CounterPoint' in 2010.
