Biography:
Howard Frank Reichenbach (1921-1990) was an American designer and ceramicist. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and studied at the Chouinard Art Institute. Reichenbach began his career as a graphic designer, but in the 1950s, he became interested in ceramics and began working with Doyle Lane, a well-known ceramic artist. Together, they created a line of ceramic pieces that were sold in high-end department stores and galleries. Reichenbach's work is characterized by its use of bright, bold colors and geometric shapes. He was known for his use of glazes, which he applied in layers to create a sense of depth and texture. Reichenbach's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States, and he has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors. He died in 1990.
