Biography:
Ian Tweedy is a German Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1982. He began his career as a street artist, finding success and inspiration in Germany on the streets of Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and other cities. Tweedy's work explores the themes of power, politics, and authority through his paintings, drawings, and other works. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Tweedy received his BA in Visual Arts at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, Italy in 2006. His work has been featured in numerous key galleries and museums, including Marinaro Gallery. Tweedy's artistic activity is rooted in the relationship between individual biography and the collective past, suggestive appropriation of history, and a quest for new concepts related to power and politics.
