Jean Alexis Achard (French pronunciation: ​[ʒɑ̃ a.lek.si a.ʃaːʁ]) (1807–1884) was a French painter. Born in Voreppe, Isère, into a farming family, Jean Alexis Achard was self-taught and started his career as a clerk for a lawyer.
