Biography:
Kwon Ki-Soo is a Korean artist born in Seoul in 1972. He is a significant pioneer of Korea's new art scene. His work is characterized by the appearance of the Dongguri character in his drawings, sculptures, and other artworks. Kwon has had about 20 solo shows globally and has been actively participating in numerous group exhibitions. He received his BFA and MFA from Hong-Ik University, Seoul in 1996 and 1998. Kwon's artworks have been featured in key galleries and museums such as Atelier Aki. He has also been the subject of articles in major publications such as Le Figaro and The New York Times.
