Pierre Jeanneret was a Swiss architect and designer who collaborated with his cousin Charles-Édouard Jeanneret (Le Corbusier) for about twenty years. He is known for his contributions to modern architecture and furniture design. Born on March 22, 1896 in Geneva, Switzerland, he studied at the École des beaux-arts de Genève before working with Auguste and Gustave Perret in Paris. In 1922, he began collaborating with Le Corbusier, and together they edited a manifesto titled "Five Points towards a New Architecture" that served as their guiding principle for architectural design. Jeanneret played an important role in the development of modern architecture through his work on projects such as Villa Savoye (1928-1931) and Chandigarh, India where he became Chief Architect after Le Corbusier left the project midway. He passed away on December 4, 1967.
