Son Jang-seop, also known as Son Seok-gu, is a South Korean artist born in Taepyeong-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, South Korea in 1983. He is best known for his painting 'DMZ in Korea', which is a result of sketches made during visits to various sections of the DMZ. The painting is a powerful representation of the pristine and untouched nature of the DMZ, which has become a symbol of longing and separation in Korea. Son Jang-seop studied visual arts and film at the School of Art Institute of Chicago and began his acting career in 2014. He has since appeared in various films and television dramas, including 'Matrimonial Chaos' (2018), 'Designated Survivor: 60 Days' (2019), 'D.P.' (2021-2023), 'My Liberation Notes' (2022), and 'A Killer Paradox' (2024). He is currently represented by SBD Entertainment.
