Alexandre Hollan (Sándor Hollán in Hungarian) was born in 1933 in Budapest, Hungary. He is a French painter, graphic artist, and illustrator of Hungarian origin. He mainly works on two subjects: trees and still lifes, which he prefers to call 'silent lives'. He has been living and working in France since 1956.
