Kotohito (June 29, 1596 - September 11, 1680) was the 108th Emperor of Japan. He was the first emperor to reign entirely during the Edo period. His personal name was Kotohito or Masahito. He was the third son of Emperor Go-Yōzei and his mother was Konoe Sakiko, the daughter of Konoe Sakihisa and adopted daughter of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
