Bea Fremderman is a Moldovan artist born in 1988. She finished her studies at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago in 2012 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn. Her research interests include the economic impacts of climate change, apocalyptic survival tactics, feelings of global dread, and false notions of freedom. Fremderman's work combines parts and segments of a Capitalist reality as a reflection of daily life that has slipped away from society's consciousness. She is concerned with the ongoing climate crisis and imagines an apocalyptic world of the not-so-distant future in her living sculptures of everyday objects and clothing.
