Carloalberto Treccani

Carloalberto Treccani is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing of the Hong Kong Baptist University. He is currently working on the development of visually 'intelligent' machines and their implications on what we know and think on the subject of art. He is also the co-anchor of the Creativity, Self, and Society group (Faculty Niche). Treccani has taught previously at the City University of Hong Kong and Ningbo University. He has published a book titled 'Reconceptualizing the Digital Humanities in Asia: New Representations of Art, History and Culture' and has received the Outstanding Academic Performance award from the Research Grants Council in 2018. Treccani's research interests include media studies, contemporary art, aesthetics, creativity, and visual culture.
