Federico Brook is an Argentine artist born in Buenos Aires in 1933. He completed his Fine Arts program at the University of La Plata in 1954 and has been living in Rome since 1956, where he obtained his Fine Arts Academy diploma. Brook's artistic endeavor has been characterized by constant structural research into space, first through kinetic sculptures and later through his distinctive style that blends fantasy and baroque images with earthiness. His works have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, and he has received various awards and recognitions, including four Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. Federico Brook is considered one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time.
