Životopis:
Fukagawa-seiji, also known as Fukagawa Seiji, was a Japanese ceramic artist born in Arita, Japan in 1894. He founded the Fukagawa Seiji company in the same city in 1894, which became highly regarded for its original designs that were distinct from the traditional Arita ware design style. Fukagawa-seiji's works were exported to Europe and America and were highly prized through the world fairs. He was also known as a porcelain manufacturer who captured the gold medal prize for one of his works at the Paris World's Fair in 1900. Fukagawa-seiji passed away in 1934, but the Fukagawa Seiji company is still in operation and is currently headed by the fourth- and fifth-generation descendants of Fukagawa Chūji.
