John Henry Hill (1839-1922) was an American painter and engraver. He was born in West Nyack, New York, and studied painting with his father, John William Hill. Hill exhibited in New York and other cities, and was a member of the Society for the Advancement of Truth in Art. He was known for his still lifes and landscapes, and was considered one of the preeminent figures in the American Pre-Raphaelite movement. Hill died in West Nyack, New York, in 1922.
