Natalia Pastukhova was born in Saint Petersburg on the day it regained that name in 1991. She studied English and Italian at university before joining the Russian security services. Natalia is an active artist, she planted a huge thicket of grass where a cat with a heart-shaped nose and sickle-like nails lives.
