Pyotr Gorban was born in 1923 in Stavropol, Russia. He discovered his passion for art when he stumbled upon an art studio at the age of 10 or 11. Gorban's work is part of the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art's collection, which features almost his entire heritage. He was known for his paintings about the human condition. Gorban passed away in 1995.
