Takashi Kuribayashi is a Japanese artist born in Nagasaki, Japan in 1968. He studied under Prof. Riener in the Kunstakademie in Dusseldorf, Germany and was awarded Meisterschuler in 2002. Kuribayashi's work often explores the theme of boundary and he has been creating installations that visualize things that cannot be seen in the natural world. He has been regularly visiting Fukushima for research since the Great East Japan Earthquake and has created works related to the earthquake and its aftermath. Kuribayashi's notable works include 'Trees' and he has exhibited in various galleries and museums in Japan and internationally.
