Vibha Galhotra is an Indian conceptual artist based in New Delhi. Her work includes large-scale installations, sculptures, drawings, films that explore themes of ecological and environmental concerns. Her works address the shifting topography of the world under the impact of globalization and growth. She sees herself as being part of the restructuring of culture, society and geography – of New Delhi, and the world. Galhotra was born in 1978 in Kaithal, Haryana. She received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Government College of Arts, Chandigarh in 1999 and her Master in Fine arts from Kala Bhavan in Santiniketan in 2002. Her work is influenced by nature, climate change, and the impact of human activity on the environment. She has been awarded several fellowships and awards for her work, including the Jerusalem International Fellows award in 2022 and the Asia Art Game Changer Award India in 2019.
