Eda Mirsky Mann was born in London, England in 1911. She was a painter and designer. She emigrated to New York with her family when she was 8. She studied at the National Academy of Design. She was married to Seymour Mann and had three daughters, including the novelist Erica Jong. She died in New York City in 2012 in her 101st year.
