Gustav-Adolphe Diez was a Belgian painter, decorative painter (of interiors), and lithographer. He was born in Mechelen, Belgium in 1801 and died in Schaarbeek, Brussels in 1844. He is known for his paintings, particularly his depiction of mythological scenes. One of his most famous works is 'Hebe with Jupiter in the Guise of an Eagle' (1820-1826).
