Wendy Wischer is an American artist born in Wisconsin in 1971. She currently lives and works in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wischer received her MFA from Florida State University in 1995 and her BFA from the University of Utah. She is an Associate Professor in Sculpture Intermedia at the University of Utah. Wischer's work spans a wide range of media, including sculptural objects, installations, video, projection, light, sound, and community-based and public works. Her work often explores the intersection of nature, science, and culture. Wischer has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. She has received several awards and recognitions for her work, including the 2023 King's Birthday Honours for Australia. Wischer's work has been featured in various publications, including Artnet, MutualArt, and Burnaway.
