Allen Hess ist ein amerikanischer Fotograf, der 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, geboren wurde. Er erhielt seinen Bachelor of Fine Arts von der School of the Dayton Art Institute und seinen Master of Fine Arts in Photography von der School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Hess' Werke wurden im Internationalen Museum für Fotografie im George Eastman House in Rochester, New York, im Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans und im Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C. ausgestellt. Er wohnt derzeit in Pittsford, New York.
