1772 heiratete Élisabeth-Suzanne de Jaucourt (1755–1816) ihren Cousin François-Hercule-Philippe-Étienne de Baschi, Comte du Cayla. Fünf Jahre später porträtierte Houdon sie als sorglose Nymphe mit Traubenblättern, die ihre Brust und windswept Haare umkreisten.
