Zahlreiche bekannte Wiener Künstler um 1900 gestalteten auch textile Muster. Die Firma Backhausen wurde als Ergebnis solcher Kooperationen berühmt. Einer der Künstler, der für die Weberei entworfen wurde, war Koloman Moser. Er war stark von japanischen Mustern beeinflusst, wie man auf diesem dekorativen Stoff sehen kann, die Vögel übereinander geschichtet zeigen.
