Rufai Zakari is a Ghanaian artist born in 1990. He is based between Accra and Bawku, Ghana. Zakari examines consumerism, environmental pollution, labour, trade, and the perils of industrialization in contemporary Ghanian Society. His art practice involves using found objects including plastic bags, food packages and plastic bottles to create figurative collages. Zakari's work reimagines the women collectors and women living a luxurious lifestyle, transforming the lives of the women too.
