Gertrud Preiswerk was a Swiss textile designer. She was born in Basel, Switzerland in 1902 and died in Hildesheim, Germany in 1994. She was trained in the weaving workshop at the Bauhaus between 1926 and 1930. Her textile work is thought to typify the distinctive style of Bauhaus textiles.
