Johann Aloys Schneider was a German priest, educator, and bishop. He was born on April 12, 1752, in Brno, Czech Republic. Schneider studied at the Jesuit college in Olmütz and later became a priest. He served as a vicar apostolic of Saxony from 1801 until his death in 1818. Schneider was also a bishop for 2.4 years and played a significant role in the Catholic Church during his lifetime.
