Biography:

Adolf Amberg was a German sculptor, medalist, and designer of tableware and porcelain. He was born on July 31, 1874, in Hanau, Germany, and died on July 3, 1913, in Berlin. Amberg's work is characterized by the Jugendstil style, a German variant of Art Nouveau. He was associated with the Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin, also known as the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, where he created a variety of porcelain figurines and tableware. Amberg's most famous work is the 'Wedding procession' sculpture, created in 1904, which is now part of the collection of the Bröhan-Museum in Berlin.
