Biography:
Albertus Del Orient Browere was born in Tarrytown, New York in 1814. He was the son of a sculptor, John Henri Isaac Browere, who was famous for his plaster life masks of Thomas Jefferson, Gilbert Stuart, and others. Albertus was known for his landscape and street-gold rush genre painting. He died in 1887.
