Biography:

Oleksandra Ekster was a Russian and French painter and designer, born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1882 and died in 1949. She was a prominent artist of the Ukrainian avant-garde and a figure of the Paris salons, known for her Cubo-futurist, Constructivist and Art Deco works. She was the teacher of several School of Paris artists and was recognized as one of the key figures of the Ukrainian avant-garde scene. She mastered several art styles, including Cubo-Futurism (1913-1917) and Spectralism (1920-1930).
