Biography:

Alessandro Mari was an Italian painter of the Baroque period. He trained under Domenico Piola and Pietro Liberi before becoming a celebrated copyist and successful designer of capricci and symbolical representations. His works were highly regarded in Milan and Spain, where he ultimately died.
