Biography:
Alfredo Campanini was an Italian architect born in Milan in 1865 and died in 1942. He was one of the most prominent interpreters of Milanese Art Nouveau, also known as Stile Liberty in Italian. Campanini was known for his work on Villa Bernasconi, an Art Nouveau-style independent villa with a turret, which he designed for the textile manufacturer Davide Bernasconi. He also designed the art nouveau building Casa Campanini in Milan, which he completed between 1903 and 1906. Campanini was also known for his work in wrought iron, which he used to create decorative elements for his buildings. He is considered one of the most important interpreters of Art Nouveau in Milan.
