Andrew Peter Harris is an American politician and physician born on January 25, 1957, in New York City, United States. He is the U.S. representative for Maryland's 1st congressional district since 2011. Harris previously served in the Maryland Senate from 1999 to 2011. He is a member of the Republican Party and is the only Republican member of Maryland's congressional delegation. Harris is known for his work in healthcare and has a background as a physician. He is married to Cookie Harris and later to Nicole Beus. He has five children from his first marriage.
