Biography:

Arita Porcelain, also known as Yazaemon Kiln, is a modern brand name of a kiln established in Arita, Japan in 1804. It is one of the oldest and largest-scale operating kilns in Arita, known for producing luxury and modern porcelain. Arita Porcelain is famous for its Arita ware, also known as Hizen ware, which is a broad term for Japanese porcelain made in the area around the town of Arita. It is known for its high-quality porcelain, especially Japanese export porcelain, and is often decorated in underglaze blue, with red, gold, black for outlines, and sometimes other colours, added in overglaze. The style was so successful that Chinese and European producers began to copy it. Arita Porcelain continues to produce porcelain to this day.
