Arlene Love, also known as Arlene Wright, is an American R&B and soul singer and actress. She was born on July 26, 1941, in Los Angeles, United States. Love is best known for being the lead singer of the girl group the Blossoms and for her solo recordings. In addition to her music career, Love is also an accomplished painter, photographer, and sculptor, with numerous public art installations across Philadelphia. She has been focusing on sculpture for forty years and has had solo shows in New York and California. Love's work has been included in juried exhibitions in the Museum of Modern Art (NY), Boston, and other prestigious institutions.
